

Shree Ardhanari Nateshwar Mandir is an 12th century temple built by King(Raja) Bramhadev Rana and his brother Baidev Rana. It is located at Velapur, 32 km from Pandharpur. The temple was built during the reign of the Yadav ruler Ramchandradev.

An architectural marvel, carved out of huge rocks. This temple has a huge water tank that can provide water for the whole year. You can see it as you enter the premises.

As you move forward you can see a huge banyan tree with idols of various deities. The view from outside will take you back in time.

Going inside you’ll see Nandi Maharaj looking at the unique idol of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati which is half-man and a half-women. Right part of the idol represents Lord Shiva and the left part represents Goddess Parvati.
